About Laura
Laura is an educational psychologist with a private practice in Co Mayo and she is available to work with children and their families.
After graduating from her Masters in Educational Psychology from UCD in 2014, she set up her own private practice. She also worked as an educational psychologist with the National Educational Psychological Service (NEPS) for over 3 years. She is a graduate member of the PSI.
As part of her Masters in educational psychology, Laura completed placements in Disability Services, Primary Care, HSE and the National Educational Psychological Service.
Laura has worked for several years as a primary teacher gaining experience in the mainstream and special setting and has worked with students with a diverse range of needs.
Working as a teacher and an educational psychologist, Laura has a lot of experience and knowledge of the Irish educational system.
Qualifications and Experience
- B.Ed in Primary Teaching with St. Patrick’s College of Education, Drumcondra, Dublin (2005).
- Postgraduate Diploma in Special Educational Needs (2007)
- Full-time Higher Diploma in Psychology, National University of Ireland, Galway (2007-2009)
- Masters in Educational Psychology with University College Dublin (2012-14)
- Trained ‘FRIENDS for Life’ Facilitator (2015) and Trainer (2020)
- Trained ‘Incredible Years’ Teacher Course (2010) and Trainer (2020)
